Prerequisite: 14 years or older
Autism Sectrum Disorder (ASD's) are a group of developmental disabilities that can cause significant social, communication and behavioral challenges. People with ASD's handle information in their brains differently than other people. Someone on the spectrum is 7 times more likely to need emergency services and it is important that firefighers understand the best way to interact with a child or adult diagnosed with a spectrum disorder.
